the very first outfit...

This is my very first outfit photo... taken back on June 26th 2010 in Ybor City/Tampa Florida. I thought that it may be nice to take a little look-see into the past before I really get cranking on becoming a little paparazzi in the near future.

The dress, from Old Navy, is literally sitting in a massive pile of items that are no longer my size and in need of a new home. I recently did a closet clean out after my weight loss and have eliminated more than 2/3rds of my closet's contents.

I took a few well loved items to the tailor and made a little investment in them... sizing them down so that I can still enjoy them. But the truth of it is... a lot of the items I pulled from my closet were items that I really didn't love, that were just there to be there and hang out with the rest of the clothing.

My plan is to sort the gigantic pile of clothing into smaller piles, one to take to consignment shops and post on eBay, one pile to donate to Goodwill, and one pile to set aside for my friends to dig through or do a blogger swap (that would be peachy!)

Now that I am close to where I want to be as far as the way my body looks, I am trying to figure out my personal style, redefining myself, my goals, my needs and attempting to create a wardrobe that reflects my soul and personality both effortlessly and stylishly (while also doing all of that inexpensively!)

I am so very excited for this weekend! Friday my hunnie and I may be going to see Flogging Molly with my friend Alisha and her husband (fingers are crossed that my love doesn't have too work late)... then Saturday I am getting my hair done by Alisha's talented hands.  Its currently dark brown with some golden streaks, I am looking to go more blonde, something warm like the pretty girls above with just a few sprinkles of lighter shades throughout.

In a previous life blog I wrote about fashion and posted pictures of my daily outfits. I plan on doing just that, here, soon.

I didn't really do the whole "New Year's Resolution" thing this year but if I can write my list now (super late, I know) it would go a little something like this:

• Take at least 1 photo a day to document my life and all the moments of happiness that I experience.
• Enjoy a weekly date night with my sweetie, even if that means we cook dinner together at home and watch a few recorded episodes of Shameless and the Jersey Shore.
• Try going to sleep earlier and get plenty of rest.
• Find some creative outlets and hobbies (hey, I bet this blog would be a pretty good creative outlet/hobby).
• Find more fun, preferably free - or at least inexpensive, things to do in town.
• Work on building better friendships.
• Be more thankful and appreciative of the things I have in my life that are great, acknowledge them and smile :)

Hello, hello.

What better way to kick off my blog than with photos of my sweetie and I (he is, after all, my sunshine).  While this weekend went by way too fast, I feel like I did actually get a few things accomplished.

I eventually cleaned my kitchen and did a few loads of laundry... like I said, nothing major as far as chores go. The best part of my weekend was that my love and I had a dinner date last night and enjoyed each other's company.

This coming week is going to be very stressful, visitors are coming to my office, so everyone has to be sharp and on point... early early early mornings (I am not a morning person) and possibly late nights.

Things to look forward to:

Each night I come home to my love;

This week we sign a lease for our new place; and
